Installing Disney Pix Print Drivers for Windows Vista

A driver installation has been created that is compatible with Windows Vista.

Instructions:
1) Download the appropriate drivers (winzip file) to your desktop:
     - If you have Windows Vista 32 bit operating system, click here to download the drivers
     - If you have the Windows Vista 64 bit operating system, click here to download the drivers

2) Once the download is complete, you will see a 'PrinterDrivers_X32.zip' file on your desktop if you have the 32 bit version of Vista, or a 'PrinterDrivers_X64.zip' file if you have the 64 bit version of Vista. Right-click on the file and choose 'Extract All.' Uncheck (deselect) the box to “Show extracted files when complete” and click 'Extract.'

3) Once the files have been extracted, connect the Disney Pix Printer to your computer and turn it on. The "Found New Hardware" wizard will launch and you will see the following screen (Fig. 1):

4) Click on "Locate and install driver software". The User Account Control will appear, warning you that a program is trying to run. Please click 'Allow' or 'Continue.'

5) The next screen (Fig. 2) will prompt you for the disc. Click "I don’t have the disc. Show me other options."

6) When you click "Show me other options," the following screen (Fig. 3) will appear asking if you want to check for a solution:

7) Please click "Browse my computer for driver software." On the next screen (Fig. 4), you will specify the driver location that you downloaded and extracted to your desktop.

8) First click on the 'Browse' button and then choose the driver folder that you extracted to your desktop. Click 'OK' and then click 'Next.' Windows will now begin installing the driver files. When the software license agreement screen comes up, click 'Yes' to accept the license agreement and finish the installation.

9) Next you will see a Lexmark Driver Installation screen as seen below (Fig. 5):

10) Click 'OK' on this screen. When prompted to reboot your computer go ahead and click 'Proceed.' Your Pix Printer is now installed and ready to use.
